Emmanuel Ayaah Okine (born 17 December 1993 in Accra, Ghana), simply known as Emmanuel Okine, is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays as a defender for the Malaysian football club, Kelantan FA in the Malaysia Super League. [1]

Emmanuel is the 5th Ghanaian footballer ever to play for Kelantan FA after Edward Aboagye, Enock Bentil, Ishaq Debrah and Denny Antwi.

Career

Emmanuel's top performance in the Ghana Premier League earned him trials with the 2011 Malaysia Super League champions, Kelantan FA. Emmanuel, alongside 3 other trialist appeared in a friendly with the Kelantan Reserve Team against Songkhla FC of Thailand which Emmanuel played the whole game. However, Songkhla FC later won the match 1-3.[2]

Having training with the Kelantan team for 2 months, new coach Peter James Butler eventually gives Emmanuel a 2 year contract alongside Lebanese international, Mohammed Ghaddar and fellow countrymen, Denny Antwi who attended the trial with Emmanuel.[3]
[4] Emmanuel scored his first goal for Kelantan in a 3-0 win against the Singaporean club, Balestier Khalsa FC, scoring in the 19th minit during a pre season friendly match.[5]

Emmanuel previously played for Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League.[6]
